Heating & Cooling FAQ

Should I replace my furnace?

Our climate in Oklahoma can fluctuate greatly, leaving your heater worn out. Over the years your heater can become inefficient with air flow which could lead to a costly utility bill. If you are looking to replace your home’s heating system you can rely on our team to do so quickly and efficiently. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure convenience and satisfaction.

Do I need a humidifier?

A whole home humidifier is an affordable way to add comfort to your home. A humidifying system helps prevent health issues such as; itchy skin, irritable throats, sinus infections, virus vulnerability, and allergies. Not only is it great for you and your family, but it can prevent damages to your home as well. Temperature changes commonly lead to splitting in wooden structures and static electricity in electronics. Increase the comfort level in your house and protect it too. Call us to learn more.

What if my AC goes out?

We install new air conditioning units and we repair existing units. For new construction installation, we are the company to turn to. If you need an entire system replacement, we can help with that, too. AC system replacement is one of our specialties.

Am I in your service area?

As a local service company, we are uniquely equipped to understand your specific needs. Our technicians service the Tulsa and OKC area within 25 miles of our offices. If your home or business is a little farther away, we can service your air conditioner for an additional fee. Currently, we do not service businesses or homes over 50 miles away.

What is a MERV rating?

The MERV rating on a filter is an Efficiency standard like MPG or SEER but for filters. The acronym is Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. What you need to know is the higher the MERV the better the filter. But be careful when selecting filters because HIGH MERV filters if not sized correctly can cause airflow problems.

What are VOCs?

The acronym stands for: Volatile Organic Compounds, they are gas emissions from certain products inside our homes. New carpet/furniture/paint, cleaning products, etc. emit VOCs. Chlorinated tap water will emit some too. Additional air changes in the home is the best way to get them out of your home. For more information click here

Do I need duct cleaning?

We recommend you have your ducts cleaned and sanitized every 5 years. If you have an air cleaner installed or you use high MERV filters you may not need it at all. When we come out for your bi-annual healthy home checkup, our technician will be sure to check the state of your air ducts.

What's the difference between an air cleaner and filter?

Air cleaners remove pollutants and allergens from the air, filters only stop the large particles from cycling into your heating and air system.

What does HVAC stand for?

Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning.
